For me, one of the real joys of living on an island is beach combing, on every tide something new is washed up bringing an endless supply of beach treasure such as shells, coral, pot buoys and driftwood. But the real booty is a sea bean. They originate in the Caribbean and travel across the Atlantic so it is considered very lucky to find one.
The first seabean we made was a solid silver version, hand carved by Rob using a bean I found for inspiration. We've now made a gold one and we love it! Each bean is 15 mm long, including the tiniest of the two rings soldered on top.
Solid 9 ct yellow gold.
