Heading in to Winter - and lockdown no.2

We are really proud of how well the website ran throughout the summer, enabling us to operate a 'click & collect' service from the workshop's barn doors - we loved seeing so many familiar faces, albeit through a window! The workshop is part of our family home and, for us, it just didn't feel right opening it up.

We will continue to operate the 'click & collect' for the very few locals here on St Martins - all 120 of us! And we will keep the website going throughout the winter.

As of November 5th it will just be myself, Rob and Inga in the workshop, with Rob and I being distanced from Inga. We are a small team but we are a pretty slick operation now when it comes to making, packing and posting so we are really excited for the next few months ahead when we look forward to receiving orders for Christmas.

Who'd have thought this time last year that we'd be disinfecting tools and computer keypads at the end of every working day and wearing masks and sanitising when we do the post?

    Stay safe everyone.

    Summer 2020

    Summer 2020

Due to Covid-19 we won’t be opening the workshop to the public this year, but we will be operating a click and collect service.

You can order online and then collect your jewellery from our window hatch, most pieces will be ready in two working days. If we can’t fulfil your order in that time we’ll email to arrange a suitable collection time. If you don’t make it over we can send it on to your home address. Don’t forget to take a note of your order number so you can quote it should you need to get in touch.

We know that visiting the workshop is something many of you like to do on your holiday and we’ve feel we’ve got to know many of you well over the years but sadly we don’t feel we can maintain social distancing in our small studio and our priority has to be protecting our visitors, employees and family.

    Island on lockdown

On Thursday 19th March we said goodbye to our lovely makers and closed the doors of the workshop. From now on it will just be myself and Rob working and we'll only be taking orders through the website.

All our employees have been furloughed and we can't wait to have them back and  welcome visitors back to the workshop - the island really doesn't feel right to be this empty, especially as the sun has started to make an appearance!

The fantastic people at our island post office and the posties across the country are still working so we are very grateful that we can still send deliveries. A few things are out of stock and until we can get some bullion we can't make more - apologies for this.

    Stay safe everyone x

    The Monday Morning Dip Club

Every Monday morning throughout the year* we battle in to our wetsuits at 9am and head for a quick swim from the beach in front of the workshop. We don’t swim for too long (after all we are technically at work) but we get wet, get very cold and are all agreed that it is a great way to start the week.
